Exploring the intersection between trauma, substance use disorders, addiction, and the well-being of families.

Over the years, research and studies have revealed that substance use disorders and addiction carry multiple meanings and interpretations. In Unveiling Addiction, part 2 of the Unveiling series, learners will delve deep into substance use, addiction, and their impact on individuals, families, and communities. Learners will explore the connection between trauma, substance use disorders, addiction, individual life outcomes, mental health, and family well-being. Learners will also explore some actionable steps they can take to be the change in their community towards supporting others with substance use disorders and addiction. Understanding the risk factors and protective factors for substance use disorders and addiction is important to help each person achieve the goal of health and wellness to positively enhance families and communities

You will receive a certificate of professional learning time after completing the learning. If continuing education or professional learning is required for licensing purposes, please reach out to your organization or institution to ensure they will accept the certificate.
