Family Voices at the Forefront

Discover how to use stories and storytelling for data visualization to achieve meaningful impact and change.

“One of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what another has to say.” -Bryant McGill

The Institute for Family amplifies the voices of families and family advocates, sharing their stories to inspire and educate. In the learning session, “Family Voices at the Forefront: Reimagining Change through Stories,” learners will discover how to use stories and storytelling for data visualization to achieve meaningful impact and change in their community.

Learners will explore the science of storytelling and how it impacts how listeners engage with content and data. Storytelling movements can help shape policy laws and rules that impact children, families, and communities. Storytelling has the power to engage, influence, teach, and inspire listeners to be the change they wish to see in their communities. Learners will discover strategies they can implement within their organizations to create their storytelling movement. Family Voices at the Forefront will help learners with the strategies to support individuals and organizations in utilizing innovative storytelling to best convey their message, mission, vision, and impact.

Learners will receive a certificate for professional learning time after completing the course survey. If continuing education or professional learning is required for licensing purposes, please reach out to your organization or institution to ensure they will accept the certificate.
