LDS Counseling

LDS Counseling

It isn’t uncommon that people prefer to meet with therapists with the same religious background as themselves. The same is often true with those that are LDS. Although “LDS Counseling” is delivered by an LDS Counselor and it can be beneficial to incorporate religious beliefs in therapy, religion will only be included upon the request and desires of the client(s). Whether you want to involve your LDS beliefs in therapy or leave religion completely out of the therapy room it can still be beneficial to meet with a therapist with an understanding of LDS lifestyle.

Utah naturally has a large number of LDS therapists, but if you live outside of Utah it can be difficult finding LDS Counseling – especially within a reasonable distance. We offer phone counseling and online counseling for those seeking LDS Counseling that live outside of Utah. Among our staff at the Leavitt Institute for Marriage and Family, are LDS counselors who are available for face-to-face online counseling sessions – no matter your location. Leavitt Institute is currently working on developing our own user-friendly interface; however, for the time being we conduct face-to-face online sessions through the use of Skype.

What is required?

  • High speed internet
  • Webcam, speakers, and microphone
  • Online Skype account (available at no cost)

We desire to reach the needs of more people, in more areas, with easier accessibility. Please contact the Leavitt Institute for Marriage and Family if we can be of service to you.
